When the Walls Melt- Surrendering to Vulnerability

It took me years to allow someone to truly see me. To peek into the cracks of my soul and sit with the shadows I worked so hard to hide. Vulnerability wasn’t just scary—it felt impossible. What if they judged me? What if I wasn’t enough?
Even now, sharing this feels like standing naked in front of strangers. But I’ve learned that there’s strength in opening up, in letting others see the mess and the beauty. Vulnerability isn’t a weakness—it’s the birthplace of connection, love, and transformation.
Today, I’m letting you in. (And shitting myself.) This is a piece I wrote from a raw and honest place. A moment when someone broke through my walls and reminded me what it feels like to be seen—and loved—just as I am.
HE SAID
He said you are beautiful.
He said I've seen you naked, and you are still beautiful.
I've seen you break, and I still see beauty.
He said even your defects are pretty,
And I, I just feel afraid—
of looking into my shadow,
of seeing the depth in my eyes,
afraid to see, afraid to feel
all that I have left inside,
for no one to see, no one to judge.
And he comes and says you are pretty.
The walls melt, the mask breaks.
And love comes in where darkness ruled.
Distance disappears, and magic is born.
I swear I've been holding him all night,
inside my heart but not in my hands.
As I've held him before, and probably will,
until my breath fades away.
